How to get a snazzy Facebook address

She wanted to know how to get a simple URL like:

photofbizcard2This makes it easier to communicate your Facebook page address on a business card or sign. For example, on the business card at left, we showed the abbreviated URL for social media accounts.  Also, if you own a business, it’s a good idea to ensure that you own this address rather than someone else.

Facebook allows you to customize the web address for your personal profile (Timeline) or Facebook Page by selecting a unique username. The username will appear in the location bar of your browser after “” when someone visits your profile or Page.

The username is not the same as your Page name or the name you use on Facebook – it’s just a simplified address.
